Who is the RunReady Performance Program for? Can I do this program if I'm not a 'serious' runner?
It's for anyone who wants to improve their running experience, whether you're a beginner or seasoned runner.
What’s included in the RunReady Performance Program? How are the two programs different?
RunReady Performance Program (60 mins): Focuses on improving comfort and efficiency. This is a movement-based assessment. This program includes:
• 45 min detailed movement assessment
• 15 min personalized exercise program design
• Tailored footwear match recommendation
RunReady Performance Program+ (90 mins): Designed for personal bests and race-day goals—with greater precision in assessment and Performance Score. This is a movement and treadmill-based assessment program. This program includes:
• 45 min movement assessment
• 30 min treadmill analysis
• 15 min customized exercise program design
• Tailored footwear match recommendation
How long will my session be?
The length of your session will vary depending on the service that you book in for:
• RunReady Performance Program: 60 minutes
• RunReady Performance Program+: 90 minutes
• RunReady Performance Progress Session: 30 minutes
Will I be using the treadmill during my session?
It depends on which session you book. The RunReady Performance Program+ utilizes the treadmill for a running analysis, but the RunReady Performance Program does not.
Where is the RunReady Performance Program offered?
This program is currently available exclusively at the RunAsYouAre shop in Vancouver.
How do I get started?
Start by booking a RunReady Performance Program or a RunReady Performance Program+, or by purchasing our limited edition RunReady Performance Starter Package.
After your initial session, our team will help you determine what the best timeframe for follow-up is for your unique needs.
Do I need a referral to book a session?
No, referrals are not required to book any RunReady services.
Are sessions 1:1 or in a group?
All of our sessions are offered on a 1:1 basis so our Physiotherapists can provide you with focused attention and customized support.
How often should I complete the RunReady Performance Program?
Your RunReady Physiotherapist will guide you after your initial assessment. They will provide a Performance Blueprint that includes recommendations for the number of sessions and frequency to improve your Performance Score.
The RunReady Performance Program is designed to help you benchmark your current running movement and improve your running health and performance. At minimum, we recommend reassessing your movement every 3-6 months, depending on your running goals.
We also offer 30-minute Performance Progress Sessions designed to help you improve your score. These sessions will be recommended by your Physiotherapist based on your program results and goals.
How is the RunReady Performance Program different from regular physiotherapy?
The RunReady Performance Program is designed to be fully comprehensive for assessments, footwear recommendations, and exercise programming. We collaborate with run specialists, footwear specialists, and footwear brands to develop our program.
Will the RunReady Performance Program treat my injuries?
The RunReady Performance Program is built by Physiotherapists and is intended for non-injured runners. However, the assessment is designed to detect pain and injuries during the movement tests.
If any issues are identified, your Physiotherapist will recommend the appropriate course of action, which may or may not include treatment for injuries.
What happens after my first session? How often should I book follow-up sessions?
Your RunReady Physiotherapist will provide you with a Performance Blueprint, which includes recommendations on when to schedule your next session based on your program results and running goals.
